Last Night for dinner

By EmDao On Friday, August 24, 2007

The left over spice for last night dinner, courtesy of my next door neighbor habaneros bush. Aren't they gorgeous. habaneros has one of my favorite shade of orange. I used the ceramic bowls I made in my wheel throwing class last night for the first time! The habaneros are in one of the smaller bowls i made.

Sleeves- knitted top down

By EmDao On Monday, June 4, 2007
I like knitting sleeves from the top down. Because i don't have to graft anything together. I am not an experience grafter, and maybe i don't want to be. The problem with me is, i pick up or i use the wrong two holes to weave together, hence a lot of left over and a bunch up knitted fabrics. The reason i like the raglans so much is that i don't have to graft anything at all, and everything is knitted in one piece until the bust! (the rest is pretty easy)

This morning i was reading, "Knitting the old ways" and read how to knit a shaped sweater, (that's not a raglans or a saddle shape arm sweater or a full yoke increase) sleeves top down! Its amazing, i plan to try it on the pink v-neck i was knitting but haven't finished. Oh the amazing power of knowledge, -laugh-

I had an "OMG me TOOO! moment"while reading Japel blog this morning. Here's what caused it. She said "Last night, my mind was doing one of those marathon anxiety sessions where I try to get the whole rest of my life planned out in one intense session. It never works, of course, but sometimes I just can’t shut down." Stefanie, i do this A LOT, and the plans always changes, it evolves and is never finish.
